Decision Dashboard

The Decision Dashboard displays color-coded information from the value-added and diagnostic reports on a single page. This consolidated view of the data is an excellent starting point for examining patterns of growth across grades, subjects, and achievement levels.

The Decision Dashboard depicts, on one page:

  • Color coding for the most recent year's value-added growth measures
  • Color coding for multi-year average growth measures, when available
  • Color-coded pie charts indicating the growth patterns for students in each achievement group from the diagnostic report

The overview of growth across grades, subjects, and courses provided in the Decision Dashboard enables educators to identify patterns of growth and to better focus improvement efforts to increase students' academic progress. Because this report displays data across grades and subjects, it helps educators see patterns that might not be obvious when viewing reports for individual grades and subjects.

In grades 3–8 in 2015–16, the state of Tennessee suspended testing for mathematics, English language arts, science, and social studies. Therefore, scale scores are not available for these assessments. As a result, the 2016–17 and 2017–18 TVAAS reporting in grades 5–8 for mathematics, English language arts, and science does not include 2015–16 test scores.
