Understanding the Report
This report displays the most recent year's growth measures and colors from each school's value-added reports for the selected subject group. To view the report for a different subject group, select from the list under the Subject Groups tab.
Growth measures for assessments analyzed with the gain model are provided in state NCEs. Growth measures for other assessments are provided in scale score points.
A legend below the report provides guidance for interpreting the colors.
Color | Growth Index Compared to Expected Growth | Interpretation |
---|---|---|
Level 5 | At least 2 standard errors above | Significant evidence that students exceeded expected growth |
Level 4 | Between 1 and 2 standard errors above | Moderate evidence that students exceeded expected growth |
Level 3 | Between 1 standard error above and 1 standard error below | Evidence that students met expected growth |
Level 2 | Between 1 and 2 standard errors below | Moderate evidence that students did not meet expected growth. |
Level 1 | More than 2 standard errors below | Significant evidence that students did not meet expected growth |
